Right: 50 states.
How many partner companies does Biotop have?
Good guess: 50 partner companies.
What is this comparison supposed to mean? – you are asking yourself. What does Biotop Landschaftsgestaltung GmbH have to do with the USA? It's simple: the 50th partner company comes from the USA: It is R. P. Marzilli & Company, Inc. from the city of Medway. And with this the Natural Pool System is represented on an additional continent. Biotop's export department has thus achieved the goal set for 2010 – a plus of ten partner companies. Our French colleague was delighted to celebrate with a bottle of champagne!
Nantucket Island: This is where the cooperation began
between Biotop and R. P. Marzilli & Company.
For the present we are "only" represented in the USA nearby to Boston in the state of Massachusetts. This is where Biotop built an exclusive 1,600 m² natural pool two years ago on Nantucket Island. But with the numerous queries from interested parties "nation-wide" we feel it is only a question of time before we will be welcoming additional partners in the USA and Canada to the Natural Pool Group.
The project on the well-known vacation island on the east coast that was successfully carried out in 2008/09 was our first contact with Bob Marzilli, who is head of the new partner company. R. P. Marzilli & Company did the landscaping on the property, which comprises 2 hectares, and also did the preliminary work for the natural pool. Biotop was awarded the project because it is prohibited to build conventional pools on Nantucket, besides the fact that our concept was convincing. We collaborated well together and the project awakened Bob Marzilli's interest. When Biotop boss Peter Petrich handed over the finished pool in summer 2009 to the owners on Nantucket Island, he mentioned the Biotop Swimming Pool, which was still in the process of development. It was clear to Bob Marzilli: the pool was a product that can be successful in the USA. In March a team from R. P. Marzilli & Company will come to Weidling for training and as of spring the first pools will be built. Because there are many Americans who also want to swim in chemical-free water. They have a point!
